This massive bamboo structure imagined by Colombian architect Simon Vélez was home to the Aqua Mater exposition of brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado. In the cement desert of La Défense, the biggest business district of Europe, this bamboo tent contrasted with the mineral structures that are predominant in our modern cities. 

It was a massive undertaking to build this structure on the Parvis of La Défense, where we had strict weight allowances and rigid guidelines to follow. The project had to work like a swiss clock to achieve such an feat in less than 3 months.
